CUBA HOLIDAY 2011
I am writing this blog as I have booked my wedding for 2011 in Cuba in the resort of Varadero and I would love some assistance and to offer advice for people booking the wedding/holidays.
I originally booked this hotel in October 2009 and did much research on sites like trip advisor to get feedback from the general public on this hotel we had booked and the surrounding area. The hotel we ended up booking was highly rated on Trip Advisor at the time and since booking we keep checking its feedback however the problem is it seems to be dropping down this list month on month.
You might ask how this has happened and some suggestions are below followed by the true answer

The real reason is I did not look into the feedback or do enough research myself let me tell you how so you do not make the same mistake when booking your dream holiday or in mine and my fiancée case our wedding.
Firstly our wedding takes place in April 2011 and we did all our research for the hotel in the months of August to September 2009 all the posts then were fantastic for the hotel on sites like trip advisor so we went ahead and booked it. After this we kept checking trip advisor every month or so to again look at other peoples photos and to check on its rating which continued to be good up until March 2010. Then all of a sudden every bit of feedback was terrible and the reputation of the hotel steeply declined.
WHY I hear you ask well it seems that the hotel in question is a big hit to the 18-30 yr old young generation on there spring break from Canada College, university which takes place march to June each year and yes that is bang in the middle of our wedding.... The big mistake we made is not to look at reviews of the Hotel you want to stop at from around the time you plan to stop there!!!!
Please do not make the same mistake as us.
Luckily we are young ourselves and are very easy going and laid back so we will make the best of it and nothing will spoil our big day but others may not be so lucky.
